Example menu entries include Traffic, Transit, Biking, CH4, CO, O3, Solar Radiation, Wind Gust, 250 hPa Wind (jet), and 10 m Wind.

The Settings panel contains the layer catalog.

Read the catalog without activating a layer

  1. Select Settings.

  2. Select the Layers tab.

The panel shows overlays and the scientific-layer catalog.

  3. Read the layer names and descriptions.

  4. Select Close settings.

The catalog includes air quality, clouds, land, moisture, pressure, radar, radiation, satellite imagery, temperature, thermal imagery, ocean, and wind.

The catalog has pin and unpin controls.

Scientific-layer combination rule
The UI gives a limit of one heatmap and one animation at a time. A selection of the same type replaces the existing selection.

The heatmap and animation rule applies to scientific layers.

None clears scientific layers.

Example: Methane heatmap

The Methane (CH₄) chooser had Heatmap, Contours, Cancel, and Apply.

The Heatmap example showed Layers · 1 and disabled 3D.

Card controlExample display
TimeA timestamp and relative age were shown.
PlaybackPrevious, Play, Next, and a Frame slider were shown.
ScaleThe scale used ppb, or parts per billion.
Card and opacityThe 78 % value is for this example.

Example: 10 m Wind

The 10 m Wind chooser had Heatmap, Contours, and Wind. Its Heatmap option gave replacement of Methane.

The Wind animation and Methane heatmap were on the map at the same time. The pill showed Layers · 2.

The wind card had separate playback and time controls. It also showed Particle speed (m/s), Density, Speed, and Trail.
