Create a dashboard
Create normal dashboard opens the New dashboard window. Its choices set the variables that the board carries.

Open the New dashboard window
Select Dashboard in the sidebar.
Select the Normal tab.
Select Create normal dashboard.
The New dashboard window opens.
Devices
The Devices choice is fixed after the board is created. Every widget on the board is configured to match it.
| Choice | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Static | The board has no variables. Each widget names its own devices and parameters. |
| 1 Device | One device for the whole board. Linked widgets follow it. |
| 2 Device | Device A and device B for the whole board, for a comparison. |
Parameters
The Parameters choices open after a device choice. They are not available for Static.

| No Param | Each widget selects its own parameters. |
| 1 Param | One parameter for every linked widget. |
| Multi Param | A set of parameters for every linked widget. |
The line at the bottom of the window lists the variables that the board will carry.
Create and name the board
Select Create.
The new board opens in Configure with an empty grid and a Created message.
Select the pencil beside the default name.
Type the board name.
Select Save name.
Select Save.
The name is written to the board.
The header holds the device and parameter pickers that you chose. Widgets that you add can follow them. See Variables and data selections.
